Beaches in goa
The beautiful state of Goa is blessed with
a mind-boggling variety of beaches that are more than just sun, sea and
sand. In terms of popularity and facilities, the Goan beaches are far ahead
of the other Indian beaches. One can easily spend one's day surfing and

Anjuna Beach :
Anjuna is a tiny village in Goa, located on the coast of the Arabian Sea.
Situated 18 kms away from Panaji, the place is a known for its excellent
beach. One of the most popular beaches in India, Anjuna Beach is the ideal
place for holidaymakers. Also known as the 'Freak Capital of the World',
Anjuna gained popularity for its Trance parties and the hippies, who tried
to copy the spiritual traditions of the East and the art of the West. Arjuna
Beach was discovered by a group of tavellers in the late 1950s and mid 60s.
Baga Beach :
Situated just 15 km away from Panaji, Baga Beach is a perfect destination
for those who want some peace far from the chaos of other beaches. Baga
beach is a small beach, but it is a good place to enjoy some peaceful time
amidst the tranquil surroundings. The beach is originally an extension of
Calangute beach, but is difficult to decide where one beach ends and the
other begins.
Bogmalo Beach :
Goa Bogmalo Beach is a small beach, located just 8 kms from Vasco-da-gama
and 18 kms from Dabolim airport. The coconut and palm grooves alongwith the
soft sand make the beach more beautiful. The red brick huts add attractive
colour to the green coconut canopies. The most picturesque sight at the
Bogmalo beach is at the end of the cove. Bogmalo Beach is clean and not much
crowded, so it is best for those who want some relief and enjoy a good
outing.
Colva Beach :
Colva Beach is located at a distance of 40 kms from the capital city of
Panaji. One of the most popular beaches of Goa, Colva is known for its long
stretch of virgin white sands, palm fringed, and sun drenched beaches. Colva
is the favourite destination for those who want a change from other crowded
beaches of Goa. Once a little disturbed region, Colva is now dotted with
several hotels and buildings.
