Bogmalo Beach, Goa

About the beach :
Goa Bogmalo Beach is a small beach, located just 8 kms from Vasco-da-gama and 18 kms from Dabolim airport. The coconut and palm grooves alongwith the soft sand make the beach more beautiful. The red brick huts add attractive colour to the green coconut canopies. The most picturesque sight at the Bogmalo beach is at the end of the cove. Bogmalo Beach is clean and not much crowded, so it is best for those who want some relief and enjoy a good outing. Earlier Bogmalo beach was a fishing village, but now it is one of the famous beaches of Goa. The small fishing village still manages its old charm, despite several eating joints, hi-tech shops selling handicrafts and other items.

Best time to visit :
Goa has an almost similar climate throughout the year, with little difference in average maximum and minimum temperatures. During the summer months of April to June, the average maximum temperature is 34°C and the average minimum temperature is 26°C. The monsoon season (July to September) brings down the temperature to a minimum of 24°C and the maximum temperature fall to 31°C. In winter (November to March) the minimum temperature is 21°C and the maximum is 32°C. The best time to visit Bogmalo beach is November to February.

Bogmalo beach is originally a fishing a village, so travellers can try their hand at fishing. As the sea is calm here so swimming is safe and the most relaxing water sport here. Surfing and parasailing are the ideal way to relax and rejuvenate yourself. The Sun bathing is another most favourite activity of the tourists.
