About the beach :
Colva Beach is located at a distance of 40 kms from the capital city of
Panaji. One of the most popular beaches of Goa, Colva is known for its long
stretch of virgin white sands, palm fringed, and sun drenched beaches. Colva
is the favourite destination for those who want a change from other crowded
beaches of Goa. Once a little disturbed region, Colva is now dotted with
several hotels and buildings. However the Colva beach still manages to keep
its serenity intact. In fact Colva is the place where you can only laze and
laze. Walk bare foot through the serene beach and get a lifetime experience
of strolling on the beach.
Best time to visit :
Goa falls in tropical zone, that's why a little deviation in the
temperatures are recorded. The winter season (December and January) require
light woolens, when the temperature may drop up to a low of 19°C. April
and May are warm and the temperature reaches to a maximum of 35°C. The
monsoon season (June to October) brings heavy rain. The best time to visit
Colva beach is between November to February.

Clova
beach offers plenty of beachside activities like wind surfing, para sailing,
water skiing, beach basket ball, beach volley ball etc .
» Eating Out - The less crowded Colva beach is lined
with many shacks, which offer delicious Goan cuisine. You can enjoy
delicious seafood and mouthwatery Portuguese here. Eat in one of those
shacks alongwith the splendid view of the Arabian sea.. Some of the small
stall also offer food and exotic drinks.
» Entertainment & Leisure - Colva's nightlife is
considered livelier than other beaches in Goa.
Many hotels at Colva beach offer enough entertainment and leisure options.
The most popular is Ziggy, which livens up the beach with its big dance
floor and thumping Indian Raga and Techno sound system

» Nossa Senhora de Merces (Our Lady of Mercy) Church -
This church is popular for its annual festival of Fama of Menino Jesuse
(Child Jesus), since the 17th century. Mainly celebrated by the Catholic
community, on the third Monday of October, it is one of most popular feasts
of Goa.
» Benaulim Beach - Situated just 2 kms from Colva,
this beach is also peaceful and serene. Benaulim provides a good escape from
the busy city life. Tourists visit the beach to enjoy nature in its full
bounty.
» The Church of St John the Baptist - The church
located on a hill beyond the village is a must visit place. Every year on
the arrival of the rainy season, the festival of St. John the Baptist (Sao
Joao) is celebrated here as a thanksgiving.
